Teaching staff
The Master's Degree in Bioinformatics is taught by top-level lecturers, with considerable teaching experience and widely-recognised research careers. Each subject area in the programme is taught by experts in that field, with over 20 lecturers from up to six different UAB departments taking part.i) Architecture of Computers and Operating Systems; ii) Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; iii) Genetics and Microbiology; iv) Mathematics; v) Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Preventive Medicine. and iv) Chemistry. The profile of these lecturers is also varied: professors, lecturers, post-doctoral researchers, ICREA researchers, Ramón y Cajal researchers, among others.
In addition to the UAB lecturers there will also be researchers from CRAG (Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics) and other research centres and hospitals belonging to the "Esfera UAB", like the VHIR or IibSant Pau. Throughout the master's degree there will also be visits by prestigious national and international researchers and entrepreneurs working in Bioinformatics and Genomics, who will contribute their own experience.
