The UAB offers a new series of the popular science talks "Veus"
On 14 November, as part of Science Week, the UAB will be offering the second edition of "Veus UAB", a series of popular science conferences organised with the aim of sharing with citizens transformative and inspiring knowledge generated at the University. Registrations are open until 4 October for those interested in giving a lecture.
Participating as a speaker in "Veus UAB" is open to all members of the university community interested in explaining their idea or project. A university committee will choose the speakers to participate in this edition, and will focuse particularly on proposals that are multidisciplinary and inclusive, both with regards to speaker and to the audience to which it is addressed.
Selection criteria focused on the relevance of each proposal in finding a solution to a challenge posed by society, in any of the areas of knowledge, as well as on the quality of the idea. Ideas will be chosen from different areas to ensure that a diversity of subjects are covered.
Participants will take part in a short training sesion on communication skills and will also count on the support of the UAB when preparing their lecture, as well as all necessary material.
The sessions will be streamed live and later uploaded to the UAB’s official YouTube channel.
