In an increasingly competitive society, job specialisation is a must, and organisations look for specialists who can successfully carry out their objectives. Economic development, together with a growing market globalisation, implies that companies seek individuals who have the training to manage marketing and advertising plans properly. This master's degree offers the possibility of working simultaneously on these two areas, a requirement for the job of an Account Manager.

Companies need professionals who are able to combine their specific knowledge in marketing and advertising to sell products/services successfully, without which the company could not exist.

Following the methodology implemented in the graduate programmes offered in the area of communications studies at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and with a strong focus on specialisation, the university created this master, offering a specialisation in the field of management and administration of advertising accounts which cannot be found in undergraduate courses.

Career opportunities

As professionals specialised in account management, graduates will be prepared to work in the following type of firms: advertising agencies in general, online advertising agencies, communication departments, marketing departments, corporate identities, mass media, commercial departments, etc.

Internships

These are not currently available, but the programme organisers aim to set up a number of placement agreements with companies (marketing departments and advertising agencies). Optional work placements.
